SMLS Pipe คืออะไร

SMLS Pipe หรือ Seamless Pipe คือท่อเหล็กไร้รอยต่อ ผลิตขึ้นจากแท่งเหล็กกึ่งสำเร็จรูป (steel billet) โดยการนำแท่งเหล็กไปหลอมให้ร้อนที่อุณหภูมิประมาณ 1,230 °C จากนั้นจึงเจาะทะลุเพลาตันให้เป็นรูกลวงไป แล้วทำการรีดร้อนเพื่อปรับขนาดท่อให้มีขนาดเส้นผ่านศูนย์กลางและความหนาท่อตามต้องการ

ท่อ SMLS มีจุดเด่นคือมีความแข็งแรงทนทาน ทนต่อแรงดันและแรงบิดสูง เหมาะสำหรับงานที่ต้องรับแรงดันสูง เช่น งานน้ำมัน งานแก๊ส งานอุตสาหกรรมอาหาร งานก่อสร้าง เป็นต้น

ประเภทของท่อ SMLS

ท่อ SMLS แบ่งออกเป็น 2 ประเภทหลักๆ ตามวิธีการผลิต ดังนี้

• ท่อ SMLS แบบกลิ้ง (Rolled Seamless Pipe) ผลิตขึ้นโดยการนำแท่งเหล็กกึ่งสำเร็จรูปไปกลิ้งให้เป็นท่อกลวง
• ท่อ SMLS แบบอัดรีด (Extruded Seamless Pipe) ผลิตขึ้นโดยการนำแท่งเหล็กกึ่งสำเร็จรูปไปอัดรีดให้เป็นท่อกลวง

คุณสมบัติของท่อ SMLS

ท่อ SMLS มีคุณสมบัติดังนี้

• มีความแข็งแรงทนทาน
• ทนต่อแรงดันและแรงบิดสูง
• ผิวเรียบเนียน
• ไม่มีรอยต่อ
• ทนต่อการกัดกร่อน

การใช้งานของท่อ SMLS

ท่อ SMLS นิยมใช้ในงานต่างๆ ดังนี้

• งานน้ำมันและแก๊ส
• งานอุตสาหกรรมอาหาร
• งานก่อสร้าง

ข้อดีและข้อเสียของท่อ SMLS

ข้อเสียของท่อ SMLS ดังนี้

• ราคาสูงกว่าท่อเหล็กมีตะเข็บ
• ผลิตได้ยากกว่าท่อเหล็กมีตะเข็บ
